In this third, and final, installment in the trilogy, we are reacquainted with The Tournament. As members of the Blue Team (USA) try to find allies in other countries teams, Eddie Mazaryk and Team Black (Russia) fight to gain control of the entire tournament. When the bettors realize the ramifications, the ultimate fight is staged. Either Team Blue, or any of the allied teams take down Black House, or Black House has to defeat every team. Whomever succeeds holds the key to the Tournaments future.

Not normally a fan of "war game" style stories, The Tournament Trilogy gave me a glimpse of what I may possibly be missing, Using the backdrop of government sponsored battles for control, Mr. Griffith writes a thrilling novel that is all-too-believable in our future. Personable characters and multi-faceted storylines add to the drama unfolding as the Teams attempt to live a life in a new-found spotlight that is not always favorable to their well-being.

Mr. Griffith says this is a trilogy, but I have to wonder what happened to the summer? Although the ending is an ending unto itself, I see a slight door being left open for a continuance. Should that happen, I am anxious to see where it will lead the Teams next. I would also love to see Mr. Griffith books as a movie. What I visualize when I read them would be phenomenal on the big screen. Kudos, Mr. Griffith on an epic tale! Looking forward to more, in this series or otherwise.
